My weight loss journey is about to reach another milestone, and it’s one of the last ones I think I’ll be able to achieve. The milestone in question is seeing 12st something on the scales, and it’s not that far away.
This morning I weighed in, and came up as 13st 3lbs. I have now lost over 4st this year, a figure which, even when looking at it now, still makes me skeptical that I’ve actually done it. Yet the evidence is there – my photos over the last year have shown me gradually slimming down, and pretty much none of my clothes now fit me.
By the time I’m finished, I will likely have lost around 5st in total to take me to around 12st 4lbs (although that figure in itself does scare me a little). I feel a lot better than I have done for a long time, and the feeling of being able to get into better fitting clothes really can’t be overstated. The only problem is that I do need to buy a load of new clothes, but I’m just not sure where to start as I need work wear, casual wear and other bits in between.
I’m sure I’ll get there, but trying to decide where to begin is proving difficult. I suppose I should priorities work wear as that is where I spend the majority of my time – that then means that I’ve got to brave the shops to pick up some clothes, and I’m not the best at that.
We’re going up to London at the end of the month, so it’s likely that we’ll take a small suitcase with us then and probably go shopping while we’re up there. There are obviously a lot more shops in Central London than there are in Trowbridge, and we’re likely to find larger stores with bigger selections.
I haven’t tried on any trousers recently, but I wouldn’t be surprised if I’m at my 34″ waist target.
